I have been venting my disappointment on my house today! After failing to turn up for grading i decided to clean (again).
Oh my dear God!
I took everything off the top of my wardrobe, soft toys (yes I know my age thank you!) boxes of rubbish (unwanted gifts of yester-year!), photos that should have been burned not just hidden (drunk at Christmas party) not forgetting something that resembled a spider (too much fluff to tell), the amount of dust was disgusting. I seriously thought I kept a clean house because that is all I seem to do, clean, clean, clean-but, the amount of dust i found could have made a 'mini me'!!!
I'm so glad I did this-to think, had I left it another six months the whole family would need gas masks and protective wear just to enter the room!
From this day forward-I promise to clean on top of my wardrobe religiously-every fortnight! (I don't have the time to say weekly!!)
Every fortnight! Wow would have thought that once every 6 months was more than enough. Admittedly I have only just GOT wardrobes after waiting 6 months (my husband reckons I am spoilt as he has bought them for me?!) Before the wardrobes they were in piles on the floor or on a very old clothes rail. I wondered why I kept losing everything.
When you have children that is all you seem to do - clean - how do they manage to trash a house in 30 seconds flat.
On second throughs if you clean the top of the wardrobe every fortnight at least the children won't be able to mess that place up! LOL
I have the same issue w/ ceiling fans in my house. They run most of the year but once they stop! OMG! It looks like there is a huge furry snake on the leading edges!
