I dont know what it has been lately....But I have been TOTALLY struggling in my workouts lately!!!

I was going to the gym 4 times a week in the morning around 6:30 am to run, then going back to the gym at lunch and lifting weights and then going to 2 classes on monday and wendsday and then a class on friday and usually sparring after class on monday and wednsday.

Then I switched my lifting to in the morning so that I would have more time, and started running at lunch.

But as of this week, I have only attended 2 classes and no morning workouts and no lunch workouts.

I have kinda got the wind blown out of my sails latelty. I am trying to deal with the fact that I may be to old to do anything more with TKD than to become an instructor. Which would be good!!!! But I really want to fight professionally. I see that World Combat laegue fights standing up. Plus I think Hapkito would be a good answer to Ju-Jit-su for UFC. But I really dont want to fight for UFC.

So anyway, I am trying to get past the little tantrum I am having and trying to come to grips with the fact that I may be too old to compete in any "professional" martail arts. I haven't given up yet, I may try kickboxing...but I am trying to get back to focusing on my training in TKD so I can work towards a black belt.

Anyway, just had to get it off my chest that I think I might be at the start of "old guy" and that I really want to fight proffesionally or work as a stunt double or a bad guy in a martial art movie.....But it may be too late.

Oh well....

how are we this week?
First let me say that i made a comment that i was editing and some how got posted,  I was trying to be a smart @## and pick a little, but then i felt that it was just comming across as arrogent and just being a jerk and thought i deleted it.  I believe that i had two sessions open on my computer, and lost track.  I meant no disrepect.  i hope i never make that mistake again...

Any way I believe that you have the attitude to make it, i've seen you in class.  I would enjoying sparring, (just stay off my head and knees please...)

Life is just like sales.  Don't give up until they tell you "no" for the third time.  the first two times means you did not ask the right question or solve their need.  Kind of a loose translation, but i gotta believe you can get your mind around it.

for weight lifting, i go to bodybuilding.com forum (forum.bodybuilding.com), and randomly click on profiles.  get some ideas on new routines, new exercises, and looking at some ppl who are well built makes me ache to go back to the gym.

of course, the ultimate motivation in the weight room for me is hot chicks.

sometimes, watching the "training part" of a movie gets me going.  kinda like watching rocky running up the stairs to the liberty bell...
