Welcome to my crazy life!

I have been unbelievably busy! OMG I cant even breathe!

So today I went to the ortho dr again to have my shoulders looked at...I have bursitis in BOTH! UGH! SO I got a double shot of cortisteriods...they hurt like a MUTHAAAA!! Supposed to go back in a month to get rechecked and probably get shot up again...but I have to wait over a month...

See on Aug 7th I fly out to San Jose for my brothers wedding, I am shooting it as well as being sister of the groom so I will be IN the photos too, he has a 2nd shooter specifically for that reason, I also get a brother/sister dance with him! Can I hear a collective "AWWWW!"? Im leaving there the Evening of the 10th and get back to Buffalo about 9:15am on the 1th.........here is where it gets fun......I have just enough time to go home change clothes, repack a small suitcase, pack up my car, and my photo gear again....and drive out to Rochester wich is about 1.5 hours away, pick up my friend Jaime and drive to Washington DC.

Wh am I going to Washington DC you ask? Well on July 3rd my best friends dad passed away, he was a 3 war veteren and she is having him shipped to Arlington National Cemetery. She works for the National Guard at the Pentagon. So Im going out there to be with her for her fathers burial. Its going to beautiful. He will be brought to the cemetery in an open horse drawn carriage, have the gun salute, Taps played...the whole 9 yards....I plan on shooting as much of this as I can while at the same time paying my respects to a man I called Dad for the past 27 years.

So anyways it will take about 7 hours to get there, then that evening I plan on taking in the monuments at night and then taking all of the next day shooting around DC...Ive been there twice already but always with family so I was limited in what I was able to do...this time...Im with a friend who is also a photographer....DC is OURS! LOL

I get home late on the 14th and think all Im going to do is CRASH!!!

Too bad I didn't join this site sooner - I could have helped with being a tourguide!  Hope your trip went well and I think it was very loving of you to be there for your friend in a time of need.

I am not sure GM Rhee is still in the Wash D.C. area though his schools may still exist.  Well Shelley, say hello to my Grand Father when you are in Arlington National.  No need to find the specific site just say it alloud and all will be good.  I grew up not 30 minutes from D.C. What monuments do want to see?  I have a few suggestions but let me know your plans.

Take a deep breath girl and take the time to relax when you can.  Enjoy your busy, but exciting, life.  It beats where you were just a few short weeks ago...
