Last night i felt the earth move for the first time...
Posted On: 02/27/2008 05:05:47
For some bizarre reason I drove a 400 mile round trip last night after work to visit a friend for an hour and was travelling home at 1am when i felt as if the car was going to fall apart!! Turned out the uk was hit by a 5.2 earthquake at 1am last night. No i know this doesnt sound a lot to you american users but to us UK people thats almost unheard of!!!

Still, house and family were ok so no real harm done, the only down side is i am knackered!! LOL

No earthquakes in North Dakota, so I've never felt the earth move.  Maybe someday though, I'll let you know =P

LOL - when I read the title to this 'I felt the earth move for the first time'
I was wondering what on earth you were going to say and if you really wanted to share that with us all here, luckily it wasn't along the lines I was thinking of, that just goes to show that I really do have a filthy mind ha ha LOL LOL

i spent couple summers in japan, and there was 5.4 earthquake in the middle of the night.  i had drank some saki the night before, and i was pretty drunk when i went to bed, i woke up around 3-4am, becuase i had to pee, and that's when the earthquake hit tokyo.  i was walking down the hall to get to washroom, and i was staggering so much due to the earthquake.  and i thought to myself "man, that saki was the bomb"
the next morning, i found out that i wasn't that drunk, and i had experienced 5.4 earthquake.

I'm glad you weren't injured and had no damage done to the house.  I haven't heard of an earthquake in the UK ever.  Normally, I've heard of it in California, Japan, and Indonesia.  Yes, I live in an earthquake zone, but we haven't had a big one in years (only small ones).
