I went to training last night, this normally last around 2 to 2.5 hours, I started at 6.15pm and helped with the junior class. The adult class starts @ 6.45pm but, came 7.30pm and I felt ill, I had to leave, not just the mat but the Dojang, and went home. The feeling was not good and I felt really umbarrased, almost humiliated. I don't know what happened, perhaps lunch was to late or to heavy I don't know but to day, i feel fine and look forward to tomorrow's training
Thanks for the moral support, understanding and comforting shoulder, nothing worst than traing on a full stomach (perhaps an empty one could be worst), this truly is an error I will not be making again.
Perhaps it may be a good idea to have a list of "dos" and "donts" prominantly displayed in Dojangs, this should include suggested diets and meal times specially when training, grading or competing, what do you guys think?? This is something I certainly plan to have once I setup my own Dojang.
We all have days where we just to feel "right". It happens. No need to be embarrassed! Imagine if you were really sick and threw up while training (been there, done that but my Instructors were masochistic)! THAT would be embarrassing
last semester, i would end up eating lunch at 3pm or so, and i have grappling at 4:30. by 5pm, i would get mad gas, and those who's rolling with me at the time would smell whatever i had for lunch. and i usually eat a lot of onion!
