The topic of too much information was thrown at me tonight! Is it better to just do as I do or have everything single little detail explained? Is simplier easier or is fully detailed out instructions to the point of miniscule facts about movement taught better? Is there really a need to break a movement down to the perfect degree of measurement or just do a I do?
From a students point of view...I am searching for ideas or observations on how to make classes more fun without getting silly for kids. Let me know anything you have seen that can add to our ability to get more kids involved. Thanks!!!
Have you heard the expression work hard? Of course! But what about work hard and smart? The smart as in not over doing it!!! In getting ready for Nationals I could do 2 hours of cardio a day but an hour seems to be just right! I have 3 matches so I train for twice that level...my mind is clear on purpose and I am ready for next week in Detroit!!!!
How many times have you seen a classmate with a belt tied improperly? The burden lies upon the instructor to show the proper way...if it is a child show the parent in the lobby how to do it.
When was the last time you really pushed yourself to go beyond what you thought was possible? How about a running jump side kick with as many kicks on the bag before you hit the ground? I am up to 4! I also got this crazy notion to learn how to and perform the 540...My Tornado kick is getting pretty good, now it's time to get the kicking foot down first! What's your challenge?
