I started shortly after I met the instructor who would later become my wife. I've never been in the greatest shape, and always had a hard time sticking to exercise programs, so TKD gave me a chance to lose weight with a goal in mind. I not only began to succeed, but we ended up getting married and buying the school after our instructor retired. Now we run a small, but thriving ATA school of around 80 students.
ABOUT ME
I am a Christian who enjoys the martial arts. I am a youth pastor for a small Baptist church about 20 miles from my house. I am also a classically trained musician, having majored in music performance at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, IN. My wife and I recently had our first child, Nathan.
TKD SCHOOL INFORMATION
Sulphur Springs ATA Black Belt Academy. We have around 80 students. My wife, Melissa, is a 4th degree black belt and was the world bronze medalist in sparring in 2002.
