I am from a small town in Kentucky. I have always wanted to practice Taekwondo since I was little. Just 3 months ago I got the chance, so I immediately jumped on it. TKD has changed my life for the better! Everyone is like family there! April 11, 2008 I recieved my greenbelt! I could of cried! I was a white belt and very little confidence. It's just like a ladder I just gotta keep working at it, keep focused, and climb to the top! I would have to say this is the first time in my life I am happy! If you wanna know anything else message me!
Sweet! I love board breaking and the other cool thing is that our school has the exact same belt system. I used to train in the WTF and the belt system there as well as the forms were very different. My school is part of the UTF or Universal Taekwon-do Federation. We are an off shoot from the ITF so our patterns or forms as most schools call it are the same. I study in IL and I have always enjoyed my training. I am glad you really like it too. My roommate and I train all of the time. Sometimes I randomly attack him and we spar. It is great. It is good to have someone I can train with when I am not in the dojang. Anyway, I wish you the best of luck in your training. Write me anytime. I would love to know more about you.
Hey Kentucky chick! I just thought I would check out your site. My roommate and I both do TKD. I started when I was nine, and I have loved it from the very beginning. Things have changed at my school. Some things for the better, but there have been things that have happened that I just don't understand. Anyway, I just go with the flow. It is good to adapt and grow and experience things. Recently I have been doing some more instructing which I love to do. I wish I had more opportunities for that. Oh well. Anyway, I was wondering what your belt system was like. Is green belt mid way at your school?
