I started taking TKD at age 10 back in 1980. I have been inlolved with TKD about 28 years now. My father opened his own school in 1981. I started helping him teach after I got my first degree black belt at age 13. My father is still teaching at the age of 60 and I have my own school in a town about 40 miles from my fathers location. All thru high school I trained and competed in tournaments within the 4 states around Illinois. TKD has became a part of my life since I have been doing it for 2/3 of my life so far. I enjoy teaching and competing because of all the people I get to meet.
I agree. It can become more difficult to train...always being asked to help instruct. But I LOVE instucting. I may not be able to train as much as I did as a colored belt...but teaching is the best way to learn.
