I have both won and lost my fair share.... Every moment was exciting and humbling. In any case, the experience all the worth while.

I started TKD when I was 12 years old (I wish younger). 20 years later I still find myself in love with this martial art. I lived, breathed and slept TKD for a more than a decade. As i got older of course, life obligations took me a way from that. However i am back into TKD more than ever (when I have the time)...
I was trained traditionally (most of you old school guys know what I mean) under a 9th degree Master, earned my black belt at 13 and now getting this year to test for my 5th dan.
I have competed at regionals, states and many local tournaments. Due to money situations I could not afford to attend nationals, even it were in my area. But I have a life's worth of experience of competition, training and teaching and I wouldn't give it up for anything. If I could do it all over again the same exact way, I would.
Now, I have a better outlook on TKD and where it will take me in life. I don't look for fame in this sport, I look for an understanding of the art in order to achieve what all practitioners, want and that is perfection.
I am the Senior Head Instructor at my school. I don't run it yet; I had my opportunity a few years ago, however I was not ready for it. Within time, I will be ready to have my very own school. In the meantime, I will be building upon myself and upon my students the tenants, the discipline and the technique necessary to be excellent black belts.

I am cool calm and collected. There is not much to say about me except for I apply those tenants of TKD to my life. If I did not do that, I'd be at the bottom of the barrel somewhere.

My school is the oldest in the area. It was founded 30 years ago by my Grandmaster, W.K. Kim.
Grandmaster Kim is a 9th dan who was one of the first few GM's of TKD to bring TKD to the bay area. We have two schools with the oldest locat ed in Mountain View which has been here since 1977.
We formerly ran the Stanford TKD program for over 23 years.
We still hold our annual tournament which always has great support and turnout.
We emphasize both the martial art and sport of TKD through "good" discipline and hard work. The way TKD was meant to be learned.
