Evan's favorite weapon is the bo staff, but he has worked with nunchuks, escrimas, sword, and kamas. He says he going to do a sword form (wooden boken) in our regionals tournament. Master Perry allows the kids he thinks are ready for weapons to participate and requires that they have foam weapons for most of them.
Evan is 7 and will test for his black belt one month from today. He's very excited and Mommy's a little nervous. Does your son also like weapons? Evan loves to take the weapons classes and seminars.
Thanks for watching! Definetly got a have a sense of humor. We don't take ourselves that seriously but we do train hard. Key to life is always have a sense of humor and never take yourself too seriously, and at the same time, do the best you can

Hey thanks for the add! I love your outlook and you bring inspiration to other who also started late. I too started late in my life and wished that I was exposed to the art as a child. But the important thing is that we got started and that we found a nitch that keeps us healthy and fit, and definetly good for the mind and spirit (and of course occasional injuries) Gotta love it!
Your right 'better late than never'. I enjoyed your video especially the out takes at the end for comedy relief! Gotta keep a sense of humor.
