hey thanks for dropping by. Things are going okay. Just came off a promotion test yesterday. I don't think I made any huge mistakes. I could of executed some of my kicks better but all in all I think I was fine. How about you?
I'm pretty good; I just had a tounament this past saturday and got 1st in Black Blet forms. I dunno how I did in sparring but my master said it did very good for my first black belt fight. =)
i think grappling is more physically demanding - endurance and stamina wise - than tkd/kickboxing sparring. with tkd/kickboxing sparrings, i can relax while sparring, but with grappling, i'm so tensed up the whole time, because if i don't over power them, i would get pinned down. it doesn't feel good to keep flexing your entire body for so long while being smeared by other guy's sweat.
dude, i don't know if you've ever seen those guys who do wrestling before kids tkd, but those guys train MMA - grappling one day, kick boxing one day, full out sparring one day, and so on. choco and i started showing up early and training with them, and it's so much fun. my lower back gives me little trouble during grappling, but the rest is good. with those guys, we actually have to do it instead of standing around like we do during tkd class, and, man, it's a hell of a work out.
