My name is Nico Davis and I hold a 1st Dan black belt in Combat JuJutsu and a 4th Dan black belt in Taekwondo (WTF). I started out training ITF 1989 but switched to WTF 1992 looking for full contact action and more frequent competing. I was a member of the Swedish National Taekwondo team from 1993-1998 and 2003-2004 after which I retired from competing after being undefeated in Sweden since 1994.

I was born in New York in 1971. I have dual citizenships, US/Swedish. My father was African American and my mother is Swedish. I have been living in Sweden since 1976 but have been back and forth to the US ever since. In 1997 I traveled to the US to compete in the National Championships which I won after 6 rounds. This gave me the opportunity to live and train at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs which was a fantastic experience.

In my professional life I work in IT as a Technician specializing in Microsoft technologies where I hold the following certificates:

  • MCTS Microsoft Windows Vista, Configuring
  • MCITP Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Messaging Solutions Administrator
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (Windows Server 2003)

Other than the above I'm married to my lovely wife Maria and we have 2 children Jonathan & Isabella and we currently live in the south of Sweden.

Thanks for the comment. We actually were taking a bunch of random pics while at a park and my brother was like "wait, throw that again." It came out looking great. It's not a full split, but it's high.

Hey, Your right! luckily, i found the clip on youtube. The GER bounce back  and the Cuban jin quickly give him a back kick, It was a clear hit, no doubt about it. It was a cool match.

Thanks for the info. and have a great day

Back kick is awesome in offense. Ppl don't expect it so it's quite easy to land if your opponent backs off. Have you seen the welter weight Olympic final (CUB vs. GER) from Sydney 2000? The Cuban scores a back kick off the line on the German guy. If you haven't seen it try to get a hold of it. Awesome point =)

Nice back kick, I rarely see that on offence. I only use it for counter.

I learned something from that clip. shift then fake, one step forward then bang!

I was only a kid at that time, I wish I was there to see it.
