My son and I train under Master Veikos Kreis 4th Dan WTF, Moo Doo Kwan. Our Grand Master is 9th Dan KC Chung. Our school, and sister schools, can boast that we have 3 generations of Masters still alive and kicking! Our Master, our Grand Master, and our Grand Master's Master! Our school is geared toward WTF sparring competition. I have been an assistant instructor for our school's After School Program but changes in my job meant that I could no longer help out in that capacity

My background in Martial Arts is a bit more then TKD. I started taking MA when I was in college. I started w/ a year of Shotokan, then a year of Tang Soo Do, and 6 months of Shaolin Kung Fu. Never did too much after that until I entered Law Enforcement. I took every self defense/officer survival class I could get into. When my son stated that he wanted to get into martial arts I had no issues at all. My son started 3 years ago at age 8 and will be promoting for his BB in November (provided he can keep his grades up).

I have been married for 15 years and I have one child. My son invited me to join him in TKD so we could spend time together. Having been in Law Enforcement (now retired) I was happy to join in but @ 44 years old I had my doubts. The bond my son and I share is the most important thing for me. Not belts, or trophies, but the time together. My son and I compete and really enjoy our tournament friends.
