I started martial arts in 1980 in Shuri-ryu. However, I did not start Korean martial arts until 1984 in Tang Soo Do under Sabumnim Arturo Gabriel. There I earned 1st dan in TSD as well as learned the art of Wing Chun, Arnis, Kumdo, Hapkido. When I left to go into the military I studied KKW TKD and Jidokwan under several instructors at different base locations.
I came home in 1991 and then studied Chungdokwan, Taekwondo eventually earning my 1st dan in KKW TKD as well as Chungdokwan. Due to relocating again, I began studying Taekwondo,Jidokwan along with Hapkido and Kumdo starting in 1994. When I relocated again I left the school earning my 2nd dan KKW TKD, 3rd Dan in TKD,JDK a 1st gup in Hapkido and 1st dan in Kumdo.
Now I am currently learning Shorei-ryu Karate as well as I teach Kosho Kenjutsu at Sharkey's Karate.

About me?.....hmmmm...Simple..I am who I am. I'm the type of guy to wake up in the morning, check the obituaries in the paper. If I don't see my name in them, I have my coffe and a decent day.
I have my flaws, but over all I'm a nice guy I have been through enough to know what I don't know. I can be abrasive and blunt, but at least you will know where I stand on things. I don't have a religious belief. I have a religious idea. Remember it is easy to change and idea, but very difficult to change a belief.
I do my best to enjoy life to the fullest. I have 2 great talented sons who are my world and there is nothing I wouldn't do for them. I belong to one of the best martial art schools in the world, and have been blessed by being welcomed to it with open arms. I have the opportunity to do what I love doing the most, and that is teach martial arts and work with kids and adults to shape their lives in a some sort of positive way.
