ABOUT ME
I'm a musician that does martial arts, motorcycling, running, nonprofit charity work, and engages in various acts of random bafoonery. My mom says I'm handsome.

...I try not to take myself too seriously...

I'm a white belt with a 4th degree in Taekwondo, a 5th degree in Hapkido, and a black sash in Chen style Taiji/Chigong. I have buddies that do other styles and I can't help synthesisizing some of the things they do into what I do, so I often times don't move like a TKD or HKD guy. I move like me - for better or for worse. I don't try to impress and I make a purposeful effort to downplay my martial arts training in mixed company, but it seems appropriate here to bring it up - so I do.

I'm currently at Korean Martial Arts in Frederick, MD and it's the happiest I've ever been with a school. We offer Taekwondo, Kumdo (Kendo), and Hapkido.

the ex in "ex" reminders me i am no longer a marine. i don't want to lie to my self' that im still active duty. lot of guys have killed them self after discharged. i want to acknowledge  my past  but not  live with the value of the corps. its true once a marine always a marine. but marines or scholars of war i a peaceful person now. thats not all i am if i was a marine in my eyes i can become more and being out of the system away from the government and all the rules, roles and responsibility is a gift.  we where thought that civils where nasty and did not have a cause and received speeches for officers saying you can rest your head know in you have made a difference in this world" the physiological mind set is never get out stay in. get hot and your weak. so im  not weak or  care i made a difference i stand alone with my friends and family and  i can make a difference with out being a marine.

Are alot of people showing up for class? We had a drop off in people coming because of summer vacation.

That's really cool I am glad he has had the opportunity to go do that. It must be really hot over there right now...

Yeah I completley understand I don't think that this is a war-time situation. Right, I understand what you are saying. Are you allowed to keep me in the know about what is being done or is this a private matter? Yeah I have seen, that's why I have been wary...but I still think that there is alot to learn from him if he brings those talents forward in a way that does not offend anyone or make anyone not come back.

Personally at that point we were all just trying to concentrate hard on the fact that we were going to be doing something we had never done before in twenty minutes. That's all. So the manner in which we were being spoken to didn't worry us as much as the task at hand.

I don't know if someone like him is set in his ways or will only listen to one form of power. I don't want to pry but I would like to be kept in the know just in case it is a bad idea for me to pay a visit.  Haha thank you for not leaving me alone on a smelly mountain.

Yeah I would never think of not being respectful and attentive to the people I learn from because everyone has something to teach. Yeah, of course, I tell you guys everything haha, probably more than you need to know, you and deb and everyone are like family.

Haha I am enjoying the time off but the fact that I haven't gone to class in 3 days annoys me haha. Actually my friend works in a place in Venace tomorrow and on our way we pass a Tae Kwon Do school and I think I am going to check it out...just cause I can't stay away and I want to see what they are like down here. Maybe they will let me watch a class or something.

When is our next demo? Master Daniel was talking about setting up a demo team like at the School That Will Not Be Named. I am eager to learn some new stuff when I get back :)

The Mythic Collingham - any meal with that sucka is a good meal. 

I am pretty sure at this point that you're downplaying what was said to you before the demo.  You're such a little peace maker... :)  Nonetheless, I'm still sorry you had to deal with the wrath of wee man.  Thanks for doing the demo and I'll do what I can to minimize future drama for everyone.  Have fun while you're away and we'll look forward to picking things up when you're local again.

Are you talking about the grand opening on July 5th in Gaithersburg?  I'm doing a kumdo demo that day, but that's all that I'm aware of.  Deb had mentioned a demo on the fourth, but I don't know if I can make that one.
