my blog
I posted my recent blog about dicipline and I think this is a good topic for discussion in this group since it does have some overlap with TKD being an effective martial art.

Discipline

The lack of discipline in modern TKD is the end result of young inexperienced instructors, a lack of understanding history, and our sparring culture. Most teachers / masters find it extremely difficult to build a champion fighter and teach the discipline needed to be a complete martial artist. TKD today has become fight centric, it's being treated as a sport instead of a art. TKD has fallen into the mma trap, we want to compete so much that we've forgottent the principles that make us the most popular art in the world.
