Arthritis

Hey all,

has anyone had total or partial hip replacement and come back from it? I'm probably looking at a total on the left and a partial on the right. My old ortho/sports medicine doc in DC, said it was a matter of time (or how much pain I can stand). I'm looking for a second opinion in Raleigh.

Anyways, has anyone had this surgery, or had it reccomended.

Hip surgery

I know of people who have had the surgery and felt brand new. My oldest son is going to Medical school he graduates from high school this summer. I hope if I ever need 'replacement parts' he'll give me a discount!

I would get a second opinion and if possible talk to some of that surgeons patients that have had the surgery. See what their experience was and rehab. A lot of it has to do with your attitude going in. Good luck let us know how it is going.

Danny Dring in Little Rock

Danny Dring of  Dring's Living Defense in Sherwood (Little Rock) Arkansas had hip replacement and TKD Times did a story on him back a few months.   I know him really well and he was not looking good BEFORE the replacement.  I think he's doing really well now.   Give him a call.   He was teaching at the Karate College in Virginia with Joe Lewis, too.  

Supposed to be testing for his 7th or 8th degree soon if he hasn't already.
