I've always had a drive to learn martial arts. When I was in eighth grade I looked in to Taekwondo, and decided I'd like to try it. In the beginning of that summer I asked my mom to take me to the only Taekwondo studio around that I knew of to try it for two weeks. The master there was Grand Master Kun Sang Kim. I loved it right away and my dad agreed to help me go. Master Kim left about eight or nine months later and a new master came and took over. He was alright, but after about four years I developed some issues with the place and moved on. I trained on my own for about three months when I found a studio called Knockout Martial Arts. I tried their classes and really liked one of the masters. I made a deal with the owner to come as an assistant instructor in exchange for tuition. After about nine months I am now running the schools city program in the city over. My drive is to one day have a school of my own under whatever name I decide to give it. I would completely love to own several schools in southern California and eventually through the whole country.
ABOUT ME
I'm 19 years old and attending community college. I look forward to moving on to a university, but at the same time I'm kind of not. I love anime and video games. I support myself and I'm incredibly paranoid about the future. Heh, I have good friends though and a good relationship. I'm happy with what I am and where I am.
A whole lot of people say "I'm a black belt," but they usually don't know what that means. Very sad. Even sadder when people like that go out and teach that way.
