a lot of athletes drink milk for protein and calcium.  but i wouldn't drink milk in general.  it has a lot of fat (and no, i refused to drink watered down milk  lol), and the cows didn't exactly grow up in natural environment.  they were fed a lot of hormones and chemicals to speed up the growth, and they are often raised in a very stressful environments.  so for that reason alone (obviously i don't care about the fat), i wouldn't drink milk (i'm one of those who eat a lot of organic food)

try to slow down with your water consumption after the training.  you can have a glass of cold water when you get home, but for the rest of the night, drink about 500 ml of not so cold water.  in general, cold water will cool down your body and since your body's trying to keep yourself up, that would lead to increase in metabolism, but after the training, you don't want to cool down too fast.

i'm just talking out of what i think is logical (i.e., i'm talking out of my bumbum).  if anybody else have anything to add, maybe a better empirical data or a research on the subject, that would be helpful...

They also have those SmartWater which has elctrolites so that it prevents you from cramping, or other sport drinks, or vitamine water.  But my recommendation over all is to drink plenty of fluids throught out the day.  Stay away from soda, not very good for you at all.  Even the diet once.  You may also want to eat some fruits that are also good way to get your nutrients and also has plenty of water stored in them.

Gatorade?  No way!  Too much sugar in it!  If your out in the hot sun exercising then I can understand it but post workout...   Nah..  Sports drinks are high in simple Carbohydrates (sugars) and will only cause a crash later on.

Drinking water, through out the day, is the best thing for you.  I walk around w/ a 54oz waterjug filled w/ ice water.  Whether at home, work, or the Dojang, I have ice water nearby.  In the gym, just a 24oz sports bottle.  I drink skim 2 times a day in an 8oz glass.  I can twist my thinking to see how someone might tout the benefits of drinking milk right after a workout but it tends to phlegm up my throat so I don't drink milk, post workout.

i wouldn't recommend gatorades, unless they are having 2 for 1 sale.  $3 for 2 big bottles?  you will be a sucker not to get it!
