I know we have had bo staff and nunchuck seminars at my school but I'm not sure what else has been taught.

Personally, I think that bo and stick fighting are good assets to any martial arts school.

I know that at my school's branch there is no weapons training, There are some weapons how to disarm an attacker with a knife or gun(we use rubber ones) and we have a bamboo cain that we use to practice some of the blocks like X blocks, C blocks and so on.  It does hurt when you miss the block.  Other branches have weapon training depending on the instructor but I don't have much desire to train with weapons because a weapon can always be taken away.

I teach in a school that offers Inosanto-blend Kali and Pekiti Tersia Kali.  I've attended some of the classes but one of the regulars is a friend of mine and we train nearly every day during lunch.  I really enjoy the arts, they add another dimension and its a lot of fun.

Does your school train in weapons?? if so what kind, and what kind of weapons do you personally like??

Sadly my Taekwondo school does not offer weapon training.  Thankfully I learned bo staff, one sword fighting and two sword fighting from Shaolin Kempo.  I am getting rusty with my weapons as I have no one to work with other then my wife, who learned from me.  I am toying with the idea of getting some new weapon DVDs and going from there.

Another thing my wife have been debating was inviting some of our classmates to our home for weapon training, but the liability on that is sick and home insurance does not usually cover said things.  It would be fun, but is it worth losing were we live or the small savings we have for it?
