so, choco and i sparr with kickboxing rules with boxing gloves on, and today, he nailed me square on my chin with back kick.  but the funny thing is, my chin didn't hurt at all.  my head was tilted backwards a bit as i was trying to faint, so the kick landed on the lowest part of my chin while it was lined up perfectly with his kick.
as i mentioned earlier, i didn't feel anything on my chin.  what's weird is that i felt massive pain on BOTH my jaws!
i couldn't make my top and bottom molar teeth to touch together, because it hurts to close my mouth fully.  but that wasn't gonna stop me from eating dinner, so i soldiered through it.  after sucking on a chicken breast for about 30 minutes, i can now somewhat chew, but still can't put too much force on it.

has anybody ever experienced something like this?  i've been blocking kicks and punches with my face for a long time, and this one was new.

you could have jammed or dislocated your jaw or something crazy like that.  nice work blocking with your chin, i suppose it's better than using your eyelids.

Yup. At least every other week, it seems. It's usually a left hook that hits me and makes the left side hurt. Chewing is fun for about a day afterwards.

I agree with Linda.... you should consider having it looked at.

If your teeth don't fit together properly or your bite is "off"  you could quite possibly have a fracture

More on that here

well, when i woke up this morning, things are back to almost normal.  i can fully close my teeth now, even put pressure on molar teeth and chew food.  still hurts like i got punched in the jaw when i bite hard though.

Doughboy, I'm glad you're back to normal.  That sounded painful.
