Well, the other day i was at my Tae Kwon-Do lesson. There is a young boy called brad(is a little bit of trouble to keep in line and usually moans and doesn't listen. So, on this particular day he showed me a splinter in his foot before the instructor arrived. It didn't seem to bother him too much so i just said tell Miss Marie when she gets here.

Halfway through the lesson we are doing walking stances and Brad is asked to do 4 direction punch which he then started to say 'my foot hurts a bit' so Miss Marie said stop being silly and do walking stance properly. She then gave me the white belts to teach of which brad was one. I also did the same, brad's stances were very poor so i was telling him to do them properly until he started to cry because of the splinter. Me and my instructor both felt so bad about it but it's one of those things you can laugh at afterwards lol. Just thought i would share that with you all. (I bet you were expecting some massive climax......u missed out obviously lol)

Sometimes it's hard to tell when the younger students are really having a problem or are going for an Academy Award.

you gotta be firm with those kids no matter how bad they make you feel.  now that kid is more likely to cry whenever he doesn't want to do something.  not only him, but other kids may start doing the same, too.  you have to let them know no matter how much they cry, they are going to have to do what you tell them to do.

Too true. My insructor has had problems with a young girl doing that all the time and then she told her if she sits out, she has to sit out for the whole lesson so then she decided to stay in lol. She has a bit of attitude to help on her coz whenever my instructor asks me to supervise her and help her, she turns to me and says 'I don't need your help!' and p0uts her hand up lol. I'm just like wotever your getting it anyway so i just back off and still help out without her knowing lol.
