Nice open question this - musical patterns, what do we think? Great chance to put the art in martial arts or mickey mouse option that should be banned?

For what it's worth, I enjoy watching them, respect the amount of work goes into them and admire the creativity and self-determination needed to perfect them. Plus I quite fancy doing some one day (when I have enough flexibility and tecniques up my sleeves).

So what's the verdict?

I personally don't like them! I think they're a real Western corruption of the traditional patterns and the cheesiness of it all makes me cringe!!

i agree to an extent with maddog. I do however appreciate the work and effort that goes into these patterns. However if it was up to me, i would stick to pure Tae Kwon-Do roots if u know wot i mean :)
