Thanks for the replies. I having been lifting 2x a week and after a month have made increases in the amounts I lift. Truthfully I have to pick a day this weekend to go do some push ups on my steps. My body is sore and tired all week from lifting, going to class, and doing cardio. I am hoping that it will pass or get better so I can add another lift day. The weekends I rest and undo what I've done all week

the thing that i do is to just start from the ground with your knees and then you will build enough strength to do it with out your knees ... thats how i learned from when i was little …lol and you can try to go into a real push up position and bend your elbows a little and try to hold yourself up as long as posible and then you can work on trying to take it slow to go lower and lower trying to hold your self up...

but one of the importend thing is to work on it! when i was 12 years old i could do 120 pushups non stop… cause everyday i would do push ups… like i would do the first month 20 push ups then the next 2 weeks 25 push ups then so on ... and i did that for a year... because my teacher was in the army and wanted everyone to do push ups ... and then i went to hand stand push ups!!! lol but i have to be agents the wall or someone holding my ankels …lol but i think its all about balance ... because i can do a lot of push ups but cant do one, one handed one ...lol

Yes I do. Right now I do them from my knees and can barely do any. So do I need to do them daily to get to the point of doing full ones? Whats exercises do you recommend to help me along? The push ups we do are the ones where your arms are against your ribs and hands flat and pointed away from the body. Any suggestions are appreciated!

.

The normal Push up are done in a 45 degree angle elbow from body. But if you want to get better at pushups, do pushups!

You don't want to do them every day cause you will burn you're muscle out so 3 to 4 times a week in between should be good. And be sure for it to be the first exercise you do, you want to do them while you are fresh!

It is not strength nor speed nor movement what I desire, it is power, quickness and reaction what I want!...So here I come!
