that's the thing about ankle weights - doctors are against it even for jogging.  i think most ppl who are not heavy can do it without much problem.  however, overweight ppl already put a lot of pressure on knees and other joints, and i think ankle weights may not be a good idea, even though 1-2kg wouldn't make all that much difference for overweight ppl while it could be quite a bit for light people.

for stability/endurance/balance, i walk around at home on bowl of my feet.  not tippy toe, but i raise my heels about an inch off the ground when i walk around at home.  i've been doing it for a long time and can't even really remember how much it affected me, but i've told couple of my students to do it and they improved quite a bit (but their improvement could have been due to the fact that they were working hard enough to walk around on bowls of their feet)

Oh ok then I guess I'll start HIIT and weight training next week since I've 1 mth of holidays left, a good period of time to see how much I improve. In the meantime I'll have to work on my left leg. Not used to kicking with it.

1 more thing. do you guys snap back when u do a roundhouse in sparring? I havnt got a chance to spar full gear, so I don't know if snapping is a good thing. It's said that 300-500 repetitions to learn a new movement, 3000-5000 to correct a faulty movement. Hope I don't have to re-do. coz right now i'm not exactly snapping.

To win, we must prepare, even for the impossible.
