I've been doing a meal plan, of Protein shake in the morning with fruit and cherrios with skim milk. For lunch, I have a pasta or noodle, some protien(chicken or sometype of bean), salad toped with fruit(usually madrain organges or fresh kiwi). For dinner another protien shake with a veggie side dish. I generally drink a gallon and a half over water through out the day and take a sport multivitamin everyday. On days I work out for more then two hours I also take Arange Krush for pre-workouts. My concern is that, in the past I over did the supplements and had some health issues. I'm still concern about having some issues come up again and usually for day I flip what I do for meals and go with different things, like eggs, toast and orange juice, a turkey burger with cheese lettece and a tomato with some V-8 splash and dinner would be a spagetti or something italian. It's not like I'm training to go to a national competition, I'll be competing in some school-wide tournys but nothing too serious. Is it ok that I switch things like that? I do take the vitamins everyday not matter what. Should I just stick with the first plan 7days a week 365 days a year?

Only my opinion, but switching things up is always a good idea if you follow a few guidelines like getting good protein amounts after resistance training. Having some BCAA's before bed to aid in recovery. Eating a good meal before workouts, like say, an hour. Unless you are in the gym for more then 45 minutes I do not think it is necessary to take anything else but water. Longer then that, some type of drink w/ elecrolytes would be adviseable.

I believe that like working out different muscle groups daily in the body to attain better results, giving the body a variety of food is important too. Getting a well balanced diet is very important. I like those southbeach diet protein bars...great on the go or if you need that extra energy to last through a 2hour workout! Getting stuck on one routine is not a good idea when it comes to food. As a mom I learned through pregnancy that the body is usually right on in it's cravings. The body craves what it needs. So it is good to listen to your body. If it is weight loss that interests you, remember that people often mistake thirst for hunger. Also, it is more important to cut back on heavy saturated fats. Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids are important, and green tea does wonders for increasing energy naturally. It is full of detoxifying anti-oxidents.

Oh yea, something to remember is that high fructose corn syrup is horrible - and incidently in nearly everything we consume. The body cannot digest it (it is used mainly for a preservative!) It is in soda's, cambels soup, bread, and most juices (among other things.) IF you eliminate this, you will feel better.

I know it Is the bomb with the HGCS being in everything. I haven't drank any pop in over 2 months and I notice the difference. I learned how to do from working in an italian resturant but I make my own pasta from scratch and my own sauce which cuts down on some of the perservatives since I live in farm country I get really fresh produce which rocks.

since you live in country, you should see if there are any organic farms, especially for meat. i buy bunch of chicken and a whole cow once a year, and, while all the hormones in the meat is undetectable, there are huge differences in amount of fat.

There is a couple around for the produce and I do get farm fresh eggs which rock compared to the stores. Do you really buy a whole cow? Is it cut up and processed? I will be deer hunting this season so that should be some interesting meat for the stomach.
