Remember that Bruce was a guy - just a guy. He was an avid student of J. Krishnamurti as well and often encouraged his students to find their own answers. I don't know about the validity of the work you're looking at in this case. However, it is imperative for you to have doubt and skepticism if you have any hope of learning these things for yourself. You have to question and suppressing that is missing the whole point of what Bruce or J. Krishnamurti was talking about.
Youtube some J. Krishnamurti if you're really interested in what Bruce was reading and considering towards the end of his life. I had been into the guy for a while and later found that Bruce was into him. I thought that interesting and then picked up Tao of JKD (hehehehe, tao tao). Many of the things were just what K was saying reapplied to martial arts with Bruce's perspective - good stuff for the most part. I'll warn you now, you'll find K's ideas challenging and you probably won't agree with what he says - that's fine. I also have a pretty decent audio file of K getting interviewed on my player on my profile. Another warning, K isn't interested in being quick about things. It's a half hour long.
All I can say is that Bruce was very into him and definitely influenced how Bruce approached things. And one of the things K was big on was doubting and questioning the words of the teacher in order to find the truth for yourself. When you lose that doubt, you become a robot. Don't be a robot, be a human being.

Best of luck to you.
