My instructor loves using Korean. I think its good because i love going back to the roots as opposed to the modern mma which as i see in ufc 3/4 of the moves they use is push to ground, mount them, punch to the face until face is completely mashed lol

In our school the commands are spoken in both.
My neighbor is from Korea and i asked her to help me teach them a little.
I want to know more from a culture stand point. as well as the small things that might offend or be offensive.
My children both orange belts now, are are the loudest in class. one day they were the highest rank, so they did the opening.
As part of the whole experience, i think that they should know the basic terms, their forms, etc. It is welcomed when they take time from class or before or after to go over the translation, other wise they are just parrots.
the Higher belts, more commands are in korean, but that is because they have learned them over the years.

Commands and TKD specific terms are pretty much all in Korean. Pretty much everything else is in English.

at my dojang things spoken in korean are..... counting, commands, bowing, saluting the flags, all the kicking of course all poomses and sa bong chucks which are just kicking forms. but other stuff like "line up" aren't . normal conversation when teaching is also in english. except when it is a kick or term than we are taught the korean term. I wish we did learn more korean!!!
