Hi Asterix, good to meet you, thanks for saying hello. I've done some training with the guys in the GTUK (Is that with Master Oldham?), really really nice bunch of guys. Do you mind if I ask, did you join GTUK because you couldn't find any WTF clubs in the Midlands?

Hi, yes your right, it is Master Oldham. I actually train directly under Mr Archer who now looks after a lot of the day to day things, for the GTUK like performing all the gradings (apart from ours who Master Oldham takes).
I joined the GTUK as a friend of mine trained there and I wanted to get back into TKD so it was the easiest path for me. However, having done both (although only to blue in both so i cant comment too much) I find the ITF more suited to me. Its hard to compare though as when i did WTF things were a whole lot different with regards to training techniques. We would regularily perform whole lessons is Horse Riding Stance and sometimes even sit on our knees with our instep flat on the floor for the whole 2 hour lesson (try this its considerably more painful than it sounds!).
over all i like ITF its completeness. That said, following 3 broken ribs lately, I would be good to spar with a chest protector!!!
