Continuous, point, light contact, or none at all?
Being a WTF dojang, we do continuous.

Tae Kwon Do is practiced by 70 million people in 180 different countries. If everyone who studied Tae Kwon Do joined hands, they could form a line that would stretch around the globe 1.25 times!

except for grappling, everything's continuous full contact for me. i guess grappling kinda has to be point sparring, since we don't wanna break someone's left arm and break the right arm right after. lol.

We in the TAGB make use of continuous and point stop and we use semi contact so we have to control oyr techniques so no spinning backfist(darn lol). Sparring practice in class is continuous and lower belts compete in point sparring. As you get to around Blue belt you are able to compete in continuous sparring(which i prefer) so we get a healthy mix :)

Light to no contact point break sparring. Continuous light to no contact sparring. "Restrained" full contact sparring (boxing).
When I spar, it's for learning purposes, and training injuries are, to the greatest possible degree, prevented...(so that training can continue without anyone, me or anyone else, having to sit out to heal because a lack of discipline caused injury.)
Like most people, I work for a living and have bills to pay, so common sense demands that I don't take 'ridiculous' risk to my ability TO work.
(This all said... YES, accidents still happen... I just like keeping them to a minimum and keeping them 'superficial' in nature. (Occasional accident Bloody nose is okay... concussions and busted bones are NOT.)

ROFL to ranger!
I do continuous med-full contact. When training, headshots are only allowed for BB and the more experienced students (children NEVER). Full gear is worn (Duh! It's what you wear in tournaments so thats how we roll!).
