Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had any advice or suggestions on a recent injury I got at training.
About 4 weeks ago we were playing a game and one of my classmates jumped in the air and landed one footed on the top of my foot. My foot went blue immediately and was a bit swollen, so my instructor put ice on it. It was difficult to wear shoes for a week or so, but now the bruising has gone down.
The problem I have is that my foot is still fairly red (you can see where he landed) and when any kind of pressure is on the area (including putting socks on and taking them off) then I get a kind of burning pain.
Since it's been a month it is starting to be a bit of a worry, anybody had any similar injuries or any advice on what it could be?
Thank you

Thanks for the responses, I'm hoping I'd have noticed if it was a break. But am going to the doctors tomorrow so we shall see what the verdict is....

Just for information....tendonitis is what the doctor decided. Lovely.

Tendonitis!

The catch all phrase for lingering injuries  !

At least you got it sorted.  Did he take any x-rays or do an MRI?  After all the pounding and smashing of toes/feet I have incurred since starting this wonderful sport, I had a full series of x-rays done on both feet and ankles.  Just to make sure I hadn't broken anything.  Thank God they were clear but my left knee wasn't... Surgery fixed that issue!

No x-rays or anything, just a quick examination and description of the injury. I'm a bit disappointed at the 'grin and bear it' attitude, was kind of hoping something could be done to stop the pain.
But alas....I'm just glad it's not a worse injury!
