i don't think it's food. i'm sure it has something to do with it (all the junk food that can be toxic), but i think it's more to do with how kids dress. i've seen 14 yr old girls who dress like they work at a strip club, not that i know how strippers dress since i've never been there... maybe it's because you are asian. a lot of people can't tell how old we are. when i was 16, people thought i was 26-30. now, i'm 26, and a lot of people think i'm 17-18.

People think that I'm in my twenties until I tell them that I'm forty one, but I'm not Asian either.
I think that diet can affect looks to a great degree. Poor hydration is not good for skin tone and can make one look older. Lots of toxicity in diet can also do this. Generally, though you don't notice the outward effects of such things until you actually are older; people in their teens and early twenties still heal and recover faster than us vets and so their bodies don't show the ill effects of poor diet until later. One exception is obesity. Young or old, poor diet can strike you in the waistline, gut and bum.

I walk through my son's school and I'm surprised how many kids (11 - 12 yo) are my height--I'm 5'6". I think it has to do with all the steroids, hormones, etc. that are fed to our livestock. Maybe it has something to do with how many Americans are overweight. I'm shocked how many kids are plump. Back in the olden days we used to get the "middle age spread." Now that spare tire starts to grow way before middle age.

I agree with DireWolf...It's go to be what ever they are giving our meat products to grow faster...I think kids start puberty way earlier now...we also have 12 year olds who are 6' tall...creepy

I worked in healthcare for a long long time and one of my charge nurses "enlightened" me to the toxicity of plastics and hormones with our produce/dairy/meat products causing early puberty in children. I do get blown away at how "mature" the kids at my middle daughters school (6th-8th grade) look. I only let my kids drink organic milk with no hormones, organic fruits and veggies, cage free chicken eggs (no hormones/no antibiotics) limited processed foods, etc. etc. My husband just mentioned that my 15 year old looks a lot less "mature" than other girls her age...thank goodness. I also get mistaken for my children's sister and people think I am in my early 20's...I am 36. Thank goodness for organic/whole foods.

i eat a lot of organic food as well. it's disgusting when you realize how much preservatives go in everything these days. for meats, i only eat free range organic meats that i buy directly from the farmers. that's one advantage i get for living on the praries.
