Chief Master:

Sir, from my understanding the ITF was created as a personal tool for Gen Choi. It consisted of those loyal to him. It was no longer the Oh Do Kwan. By this time I think they were 2 seperate entities.  If the KTA had a problem with the ITF & they did, it was over technical matters, as Gen Choi insisted then & always that his techniques were TKD & others were karate. They attempted to form a team approach when he was offered a position in the KTA & GM Nam Suk Lee was offered ITF Secty Genl. This was suppossed to help them play better.

They never did & eventually the ITF left SK. Internal Korean national politics played a big part. Of course the KTA at some point wanted an international arm, but they to my knowledge ever exerted much control over the ITF as Gen Choi was a problem for them to deal with.

I never heard anything like you posted, that is why I asked for sources to research it, as I seek the truth, irregardless of where it takes me.

This is true. All that have to do is win there national selection process. Non TKD people can do this as well. I read that China does not teach TKD to there players, but pretty much just the fighting rules.
The point that the ITF is looking for is technical intergration. Anything less would appear to be the ITF being absorbed by the WTF, as the WTF has already did that to many ITF people over the decades.

Remember at one point all TKD students were followers of Gen Choi.
