I finally went back to class last night after taking two weeks off from feeling sick. I was actually feeling pretty good until when it came to the bag kicking techniques where we move from bag to bag throwing various kicks like Side-Jump-spin-back kick, double round, jump round, etc...
Its been several years since I rolled on my ankle and I was feeling pretty invincible.. Well, I guess my luck ran out and as I was throwing a double round house kick, landed wrong and sprained my right ankle...
Agggh! So frustrated right now, but the good news is that its a light sprain, and I've had worse where I actually fell to the floor and you could hear it pop. This time was not so bad, it swelled up a little bit but not like before, I was able to save myself from a fall and was able to hop on my left leg to not roll down to the floor.
Looks like I may have to take this week off, just to play it safe but if I feel better, I'll go back on Friday for some light kicking and Poomse class.
