yeah i was so scared at my first tournament and i didn't do anything but run to the bathroom a lot of times..lol but after that i would run around meet new people and talk to them and help corner little kids and all that ..lol i try to stay happy and my goal at tournaments is not to win is to make new friends cause friends you can talk to and go to movies and you cant do that with trophies... so when i get like 2nd or 3rd place i wont get sad ..lol

I hope you're feeling better soon! Injuries are bad enough, but the downtime is the worst. But don't worry; when you're back, you'll probably put everyone else to shame with enthusiasm and energy!

I know it's tough sitting out with a knee injury. I go through the forms in my head and watch my classmates when they practice to keep me mentally in it.

i wish that i could do that but im at home all day and that will just drive me nuts cause i want to be out there on the floor

Even if you can not do the form 100%, just walking through it will keep it in your memory. Do what you can and follow your rehab plan. It may take some time and you will have to push through some discomfort but if I can do it, I am quite sure that you can too. Good luck....

thanks

I know how you feel. I had a meniscus repaired in January and, since I am a wee bit older then you, I have been very smart about my rehab. Slow, steady, increases. Because of my training, Dr.s were floored at my range of motion and my gait just 7 days after surgery. ASTOUNDED is the word I heard. I was told to do light resisitance training along w/ ROM training until April. Then I could add Body weight exercises. Now I have added swimming and some real weights to my rehab. Still, my knee yells a bit when I start to run or jog so not sure when I can back to doing the cardio I need...

Good luck and hang in there. You will be fine w/ the attitude your displaying!

thanks i need that cause i hate not beng able to do my forms yet
