In the final she came up against a particular girl who has always beaten her in the past. It was a very close fight all the way. At the end it was 0-0 so it went to sudden death. The opponent came in with her usual side kicks, Natalie did a spinning back hook kick and caught her a cropper right on her head - 3 points to Nat and a win - (after several misses lol)
She doesn't care about the fact that she won GOLD, just the fact that she finally beat this other girl, after so many attempts.
So like I said, we are extremely proud of her, will post some pics as soon as I have sorted them out.
Oh - Tag-teams, there was one other team entered, so we were guaranteed a medal anyway. I was extremely nervous getting back into competition. We fought really well also, there was another lady from our club, it was her first comp so she was a bundle of nerves too!! We won Silver so again, very proud of ourselves.
I've even agreed to do teams at the next comp!!!
