Just a little background, I am in very good shape, with great stamina. I am a second degree black belt with the ATA. The other day I took a class away from my home school in Burien, WA to Master Jo's school in Lynnwood. It was a holiday, so there were not many students, but the workout that I recieved was more than I had done in years. I had never left a class drentched in sweat like that, my legs still were in pain, and I was having issues doing my form (82 moves) the next morning.....In all I loved it!! I think that all instructors should do that in at least one class a week, make their students literally die, so that they know that Taekwondo is a serious sport. Since I was the visitor, Master Jo let me lead the warm up's, which lucky for me I kept it light, then it was straight to the hard work...I think I sparred 8 rounds that night, 5 of them without rest in bewteen, it was awesome....I will be back there for another butt kicking later!

It sounds like you did hard work.  It doesn't hurt to go to another school for a workout as long as the instructor doesn't mind visitors.

Thats what I like about having different instructors, they all have their own specialities. Some are into technique, some work with repetition, some (like you said) just work you so hard you feel energised (after youve got your legs back) :-)

Sounds like it may be something you want to do on a regular basis, it would be great to have exchanges between schools....
