And I'm back at work this morning. Since I have about a half hour before I start, here's the rundown. I left straight from work and got to the dojang at about six. I've been fighting a cold since Tuesday, so jazzed on dayquil, Sudafed, green tea, and Halls Mentho-Lyptus, and having had a sandwich and a salad at five, I arrived ready to face the challenge. Today, I went to the main dojang to test for 3rd Dan Black Belt. There was a black belt meeting at 9:30 a.m., so I had to leave at 5:30 because it is about a 4 hour drive to get there. I was grateful to have my assistant instructor and friend to ride along and support me for my test. My test didn't begin until 4 p.m., so I helped students practice forms, while waiting for their tests to begin. Also, judged the blue belt test. Health and Fitness -- Strength Training (4 sets for each exercise)
My focus has returned to basic strength and hypertrophy. In a few weeks, I'll focus on power.
On all four days, I did One Arm DB Snatches (explosive -- 5 reps), DB Corkscrews (Rotational -- 8 reps), and 4 point planks (Core Stabilization -- 30 secs). All other exercises -- 8 reps.

Its test day tomorrow. I think Im as ready as Im going to be, just doing some last minute revision on names of movements in my pattern in case Im quizzed. I know the meanings and background of the patterns, so its just movements and what theyre used for that Im weakest on. So thats what Ill be checking out tonight.
