I have finally started training regularly again now that my back seems to be holding up well.
Of course, the first thing my Master did was make me promise to tape test next month. (We earn a colored tape on our belt as we work our way toward the actual next belt level).

This is a follow on article to one that I previously posted on the two main attitudes that I feel hold color belt students back. The first one that I elaborated on earlier was that there are always new techniques that you must learn to advance or improve. The second is that everything that you need to do to advance and improve is covered in class. Put bluntly, students don't practice outside class.
