You go to a family reunion, spouse's work related gathering, or any other social crowd that only requires your presence once in a blue moon and you will undoubtedly be asked this right out of the can question, "So.... what do you do?" When I tell them I teach Tae Kwon Do in my own studio, they are dumbfounded. "You teach what? Ki twon do? What's that?" (Secretly I am thinking, what cave have you been in?) Students, Flying Side Kicks, and Voting

One of the most rewarding things I've experienced as an assistant instructor is when a child asks extra questions. Whether it be how to maneuver your hands when chambering/executing a block or strike, or what stance they are suppose to be in. It makes one feel more like a guide than a teacher.
