Long time no blog!
Posted On 04/19/2009 03:27:13 by Jinxi

Hello again! Sorry I've been away a while - we found out a couple of weeks ago that our landlords are coming back from Australia so we've been having to find somewhere to live on top of being super busy at work.

Good news is that we've got somewhere nice nearby and we move in 3 weeks time.

I passed my grading to blue tag (5th kup), and found out I got an A pass too. I was absolutely delighted as I'd slipped up on a couple of minor points and I really wanted to get top marks... Read More

Reasons to be cheerful

Reasons why tae kwon-do is such a great thing to study part 73: My boyfriend and I were informed on Friday that we have two months to move out of our house.

We've done nothing wrong - apparently we're model tenants - but the landlords are returning home from Australia and want their house back.

It might not seem like that big a deal, but I really wanted to do extra well because it's the first time I've gone beyond what I'd done before, and also because... Read More

Changes Afoot

Today was one of those days you always knew would come around but you always hope doesn't.

Our instructor is leaving in two weeks time. I knew it was on the cards as he'd got a job close to where he lives, which is about 65 miles from where the club is. At the moment, he works 8 miles up the road and has a long drive every morning and evening to and from work.

I always knew he wouldn't be at the club forever - ever since my first lesson when he said where he lived - but I always... Read More

All played off

Yesterday was the TAGB English Championships

In an impressive turnout for patterns - about 16 for ladies green belt (green belt and blue stripe, 6th and 5th kup), it was clear pretty early on that my decision to do Do-San rather than Won-Hyo was a smart one.

There were only two people doing Do-San and Won-Hyo was taking prisoners left right and centre, nerves forcing over-balances on the bending ready stance and a lot of missing the starting mark.

The scores were pretty l... Read More
