ttataekwondo.co.uk This is my old clubs website if you fancy having a browse and comparing different styles.

Well I'm a typical sagittarian according to some people.I'm always having a laugh about something and am yet to grow up lol! I'm hoping to meet some cool people on here who share similar interests to me.

I first started doing TTA (Traditional Taekwondo Association) under Grandmaster T.K.Loh's (7th Dan)
club.I reached blue belt and went to a few competitions and got medals and trophies. It was a very respectable club been the joint second best TTA club in England, which was an achievement for such a small club with no black belts other than our instructor. The club taught me how to respect each persons ability and to strive to be the best you can be.It was a very strict club which sometimes I agreed with but other times I didn't,as I believe you need a certain amount of freedom to become a better martial artist.Due to personal circumstances I left which was hard for me to do as I had put so much into the club.Once you leave you can't go back so I had to join another club so I went to a WTF club under Grandmaster Kenny Walton (7th Degreee) and my instructor is Mr.Stephen Mercer (3rd Degree). It's proving to be a challenge as the stances, punches etc. are all totally different to TTA but I like the enviroment I train in because it is more relaxed, which enables me to make mistakes and learn from them rather than have things drilled into me like the Army. They seem to be more in touch with the world as it is rather than following rigid forms which don't allow freedom of expression. So that's my journey so far.
