No time to read, some day would like to get back into reading. My life is so busy, lights out when my head hit the pillow. Only reading I do is at work for work related stuff.

I love martial arts and watch many martial art styles on TV, YouTube, Veoh, etc.. To me, martial art is a form of expression and I see many arguments going back and forth about which martial art is the most effective. I think any martial art can be effective, and I think its good to keep an open mind and explore other types of martial arts (if thats what one desires). I don't believe that one type of martial art is superior to others.
The effectiveness of any martial art really depends on how it is applied and since I am not planning to go out and battle the world, I do this for pure enjoyment, and staying fit. Its good for the mind, body and spirit.
I love all that flashy kicks and wish that I can do it all. I'm not young as I use to be but that doesn't stop me from trying. You'll never hear me say "I'm too old for this" and actually mean it! I started training Taekwondo late in my life but I know that I'll keep training and it is a way of life for me, my husband and maybe my daughter some day.
Prior to Taekwondo, I took 2 yeas of Kick Boxing and boxing and loved it. When my husband introduced me to TKD 9 years ago, at first I didn't like it because the kicks were not so grounded, and it took a little getting use to. Now, I love it and it is a way of life for me.
