I started TKD on mt 7th b-day and Im now 17 and more excited about TKD than ever. I train under Jack Hwang in Oklahoma City. He is a 8th or 9th degree and was one of the first to bring TKD to america. He came about 3 or 4 months after Joon Rhee. He was in a bad car accident and can no longer spend much time teaching but he has is students from back in the day teach. They are great guys and were and still are outstanding martial artists.
ABOUT ME
I just like to have fun and my passion for TKD grows daily.
Thanks man. This site is pretty cool. So it lokks like you have practised several martial arts, what ur favorite?
My favorite? Hmmm... If I had to choose it would probably be Kung Fu but only because my Master spent a lot of time explaining "Why?". We also spent a good deal of time on the philosophy of the art and not just the physical side. Shotokan karate provided me w/ an excellent foundation w/ stances and defense as well. Pretty hard to say what my favorite is but push come to shove, I would have to go w/ Kung Fu.
