Mood: Happy Status: duct-taping my body back together
HOBBIES
TKD TKD TKD, riding my harley, movies, i read alot, music--i play in an acoustic duo with my roomate..i love culture and living life
TKD ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Everyday i train or help teach is an accomplishment for me...one thing does stand out though, i went to my first tournament as a green belt in the over 30 class and i ended up winning my intermediate class and placing 2nd in sparring against the advanced (red & black )class....On the way home with a huge trophy i was smiling like a fool, my master said to me " GREAT JOB MIKE, NOW DON'T LET IT GO TO YOUR HEAD "..To this day i try to not to let ego, vanity, or self-grandeur run my life.
MUSIC
Everything from TOOL to Cassie, Ya Ya Ya's to Johnny Cash...I love pretty much all types of music
BOOKS
Ravenor, Aztec, The journeyer, living the martial way, European History, Military History, zen in the martial arts, Frost, Hemingway, the way of the warrior, my interests vary...
I train in traditional MOO DUK KWAN-TAE KWON DO..Kind of an old school style like karate but with more air-time and higher kicks. I train hard 4-5 times a week and help teach a beginner class once a week..We spar twice a week ( i luv it ) and we are like i said old school, no hogu, no helmets, just mouthguard, kicks, and chops..40% hand techniques and 60% kicks. We are accredited through Kukkiwon, but are not affiliated with the wtf or itf. its because we still do the old MOO DUK KWAN forms along with the new taguks. (wtf-itf doesnt like that)
ABOUT ME
TKD changed my life, i dont even know how to put it into words. it used to be something i did, then it became something i was.
favorite quote:------: "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body , but rather to skid in broadside , thoroughly used up , totally worn out & loudly proclaiming--WOW--WHAT A RIDE !"

Yeah, I'm pretty excited about it. I hope to go to the range tomorrow and fire a few different models to see what I like. I have a Glock 19 9mm, but this time I think I want a "man gun." Haha.
