I don't read anything unless it applies to my life. I prefer online articles and magazines though. I am a visual person and want to see pictures as well. hehe
MUSIC
Everything except rap, heavy metal, or music with offensive language. We mostly listen to oldies and Christian Rock/Contemporary since there's no question about whether it's appropriate for the kids. I myself still like a little bit of country when I'm in the mood, but not the old twangy stuff, the new electric "rock" style.
TKD ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Nothing major yet. There are a few tournaments coming up here but we're going to wait till we get higher belt level to go to any. We may go just to watch.
The kids did get a trophy at the TKD fall costume party in Oct for most creative costumes. They went as Garfield and Odie and I made both of their outfits. I'll post a picture.
HOBBIES
Sewing, painting, art/craft related activities, photography, sculpting, cooking, playing with and training my dogs.
ATA Black Belt Academy here in our local city. They've been around for about 20years + - Don't know much beyond that.
ABOUT ME
I'm a stay at home momma who home schools both kids. I have a 6yo son in 1st grade and an 8yo daughter in 3rd. Between school, TKD, piano, and home school events, we stay busy. We also keep busy with our 2 dogs and 2 cats.
TKD TESTIMONY
Both kids and I just started TKD in August and we're having a blast so far. We are all using this as "physical ed" and exercise, not to mention something we can practice together.
I never realized how complicated it was until we started, but it's beginning to come more natural now that we've made it to yellow belt. We look forward to making it all the way to black belt and then we'll see if the kids want to keep going. I think I do.
