Many of my taekwondo accomplishments were later in my career.
I earned my first degree in November of 1998.
I competed in a school tournament in 1996 as a green belt. I went against a red belt and a blue belt in forms and I earned 2nd. I also went against that same blue belt in sparring and earned first.
I competed 4 times in 2007:
In March 2007 I earned 4th in weapons, 2nd in forms, and 2nd in sparring.
In August of 2007 I earned 1st in forms and 3rd in weapons.
In September of 2007 I earned 3rd in forms and 2nd in weapons.
In October of 2007 I earned 2nd in forms and 2nd in weapons. I was also the was women's black belt state championship jacket winner for the SMAC tournament for Summer of 2007.
In October of 2007 we had our 2nd annual school touranment where the Shiloh Martial Arts Association competes, and 10 of my students competed. This was their first competition. They earned a total of 12 medals. Seven gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze. I was awarded student of the year, a beautiful plaque.
March 2008 I had 17 students compete at the Spring Shiloh Martial Arts Association Tournament and we brought back 6 gold, 6 silver, 4 bronze & 4 4th place medals.
September 6th, 2008 I promoted my first two students to brown belt and they have become instructors in our system.
I hope to earn my 2nd degree black belt this year!
August 2008 I earned 1st in forms and fourth in weapons. I would have placed first in weapons if they would have divided the women from the men. 1.1 points seperated first from last.
Sepember 2008 I earned 2nd in forms and 3rd in weapons. Both divions I was the only female to compete. .3 points seperate 1st and 2nd in forms and .2 points seperated 2nd and 3rd in weapons.

I am a big fan of Christian dance and Chistian techno but they are so hard to find. I also like contemporary Christian. I like classic rock, and songs from the 70's and 80's. I miss Moody Blues, Chicago, stuff like that. I dislike any music with vulgar lyrics, downgrading lyrics to race and or gender, sexual content, etc.

The Holy Bible, Chronicles of Narnia. Other than that I've not found anything I like. I really do not like to read, because I do have a slight reading comprehension issue. I will be reading text books very soon!

I began martial arts after seeing a jacket on a blind date. Though the date didn't last, the martial arts training did. I began in November of 1995. By April of 1996 when I earned my blue belt I no longer had asthma. I earned my black belt in November of 1998. In April of 1998 my instructor stopped teaching to be with his family. Another person took over class. I left shortly after my black belt due to some personal issues. I rejoined after a few years of trying Shotokan, Kyokushinkai, Isshin Ryu, and training on my own, never progressing. I then rejoined in the summer of 2004. During the time I was not training in my original style I had visions of a new system. In March of 2006 my main instructor began to teach again and the dreams became a reality. I immediately left the other guy and joined up. A year later, March of 2007 I began an affiliate school of my own. I continue to train with my instructor on Tuesday and Thursdays and I teach in my own school on Monday and Fridays.

My faith in Christ is the most important thing in my life. The other thing that is important to me is being part of this martial arts ministry. It's a way for me to serve God in what I like to do best. I also work part time and am begining to go back to college in January 2009. I am so excited. I still am unsure what I want to do with my life, but I do know that seem to enjoy teaching... now if only I can decide what to teach.

www.blackstoneskarate.com is my instructor's school. Mine is www.immanuelbaptist.net/karate.htm for now. We operate on donations only, no contracts, and we incorporate Christian teachings into our system. Our first 9 belts are based on Galatians 5:22-23 the fruits of the spirit, which are: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. After that we learn other qualitites. We have to memorize verses in addition to our training as well as take one precept Bible study course per degree of black belt we go beyond first. Deuteronomy 6:5 says "Love the Lord your God with all of you heart, with all of your soul, with all of your mind, and with all of your strength."
