Tae Kwon Do is practiced by 50 million people in 160 different countries. If everyone who studied Tae Kwon Do joined hands, they could form a line that would stretch around the globe 1.25 times!
I love learning as much as I can about my own martial art of Tae Kwon Do. I find that many students new to Tae Kwon Do aren't aware of its history or the many styles within the art of Tae Kwon DO... the sport versus the traditional.

Our school does not focus on the competitive aspect of the art although we have entered area "open" tournaments and usually fair very well in each event.
The influence of Tae Kwon Do has spread to all aspects of my life.

Hi... my name is Deb and I am a 3rd dan Black Belt in Ch'ang Hon Tae Kwon Do
I also enjoy attending various martial art seminars and events in my area to broaden my knowledge of all martial art styles.
I teach the Cardio Kickboxing program at AITKD. I was certified by John Graden in his CardioKarate program back in 1999 but have since developed my own program which is a combination of this and circuit training (Turbulence Training) and weights. I hope to begin a Combat Strike class which I am currently in training. This is a body bar strike & block workout similar to training with a weighted 9-15 lb. Bo staff.
I am also a substitute Fitness Trainer at a local gym where I also teach a Fitness Kickboxing class
In January 2007 I received my Personal & Group Fitness Trainer certification (CPT/CGT)
For the past 7 years I've been involved with various martial art forums under the nickname "KickChick"
