AMAA was founded in 1998, and since then, we have grown to be one of the largest martial arts schools in Ventura County. Our professional instructors and dedicated staff are committed to providing a dynamic, safe, fun and empowering self-defense program for you and your children. Our primary curriculum consists of the dynamic striking and maneuvering techniques of Taekwondo. Supplementing this, we incorporate Judo take-downs, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ground grappling, and Hapkido self-defense techniques. We have an exciting sparring and demonstration team that travels and competes nationally. What makes AMAA truly unique is that we are a total cultural center providing a variety of martial arts, an after school program, music and more.

Our Master (Derrick Kwak) has been teaching martial arts for more than 20+ years and practicing it since childhood.
